The winningest F1 engine maker of all time with the famed Cosworth DFV from 1967-84, Ford faded from the world\u2019s biggest motorsport in the early 2000s.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">The win \u2014 with \u201cThe Flying Dutchman\u201d Max Verstappen at the wheel \u2014 energized Ford&#8217;s Dearborn headquarters on Oct. 5, with race highlights playing on video screens and Ford Executive Chairman Bill Ford, CEO Jim Farley and COO Kumar Galhotra holding a conference call with Ford Racing division employees.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">\u201cWhat a weekend!\u201d wrote Bill Ford on LinkedIn. \u201cBuilding an entirely new power unit from scratch to compete at the pinnacle of motorsport was an extraordinary challenge.
