Dodge introduced the R\/T and SRT upgrades ahead of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.chicagoautoshow.com\/\">the Chicago Auto Show on Wednesday morning<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p-text\">\u201cThink of the Durango SRT as a Charger Hellcat SUV,\u201d says Dodge motorhead-in-chief Tim Kuniskis of the super-ute that was introduced last year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p-text\">Think of it as a family trip hauler, too.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p-text\">The 392-cubic-inch V-8 is not only most powerful\u00a0three-row SUV from a non-luxury brand, but it will tow up to 8,700 pounds \u2014 more than any other three-row ute in segment. Its third-row seats offer best-in-class, third-row legroom.<\/p>\n<div id=\"ad-position-238\" class=\"partner-placement partner-spike partner-placement-visible\" data-monetization-id=\"native-article_link\" data-monetization-sizes=\"fluid,3,3\">\n<div id=\"ad-slot-7103-mi-detroit-C1561-native-article_link-money-autos-features_chrysler-240\" class=\"ad-slot\" data-google-query-id=\"CO7ZxKvdltkCFZDIwAod9qAGvw\">\n<div id=\"google_ads_iframe_7103\/mi-detroit-C1561\/native-article_link\/money\/autos\/features_chrysler_0__container__\"><iframe id=\"google_ads_iframe_7103\/mi-detroit-C1561\/native-article_link\/money\/autos\/features_chrysler_0\" title=\"3rd party ad content\" name=\"google_ads_iframe_7103\/mi-detroit-C1561\/native-article_link\/money\/autos\/features_chrysler_0\" width=\"3\" height=\"3\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" data-integralas-id-2b367c8d-aa35-9f4c-b02d-75689815e117=\"\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"p-text\">All that performance comes at a price and the Durango SRT rings the cash register at $64,090 \u2014 though that is still $30,000 south of comparable, rear-wheel drive based performance utes like the Porsche Cayenne and BMW M X5. Zero-60 in the SRT? A Cayenne-beating 4.4 seconds.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p-text\">Offered in five different colors and extending from bumper to bumper across the Durango\u2019s hood and roof, the twin-stripe package will cost $1,195. Colors: Bright Blue, Flame Red, Gunmetal Low Gloss, Low Gloss Black and Sterling Silver. Order yours beginning in March.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p-text\">Lowering the Durango SRT by over a half inch, the Mopar spring kit upgrades the 5,500-pound SRT beast\u2019s handling with less nose dive under braking and reduced body roll in corners. The kit is $325.<\/p>\n<div class=\"partner-outstream\"><\/div>\n<p class=\"p-text\">The special, chromium exhaust comes with a unique sound and polished, 4-inch tips and will set you back $1,850 on the SRT model; $1,595 on the R\/T.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p-text\">The SRT\u2019s cabin is already distinguished by a flat-bottom steering wheel and T-shifter. The new interior carbon fiber accents are available on the instrument panel and door bezels \u2014 and are complemented by a Dinamica soft-touch headliner and accent paint on the speaker trim rings.
